Yoichi is a robust whisky with a bold profile, featuring a prominent, complex peat smoke balanced with salinity, spicy oak, and fruit notes. The aromas and flavours evolve from a mellow peat and floral start to a powerful, spicy palate with notes of soot, nuts, and rich fruit, leading to a long, herbaceous, and salty finish.
Nose: Soft peat, salty, soot-like, and smoky notes, reminiscent of coastal air. Candied citrus (lemon, orange), black liquorice, and warming spice.
Palate: Strong and balanced with a significant presence of peat and smoke. Fresh fruit; melon, kiwi, apple, and pear, alongside nutty notes of almond and walnut with a warming and peppery character.
Finish: A lingering, smooth, herbaceous finish with a touch of mint and a whiff of sea air.
