A good quality Caribbean rum with a delicious authentic banana flavour.
Nose: Clean, ripe banana. The high, ripe esters from the rum blend seamlessly with the banana acting as a supercharger to the base flavour rather than an unwelcome intrusion. A lick of spice on the tail end provides intrigue.
Palate: Sweet, but not cloying – banana flavour is intense but doesn’t overstep the mark. Dark caramelised notes lead into the finish.
Finish: Long, with the resurgence of the caramelised goodness, and the high esters continue to play for a decent length of time.
How to enjoy: A well-balanced and considered rum. Great in a Banana Daiquiri, but equally at home in any number of tiki drinks where it provides an interesting lift.
